Margaret Tudor 1489-1541 The Conflicted

Margaret Tudor 1489-1541 The Conflicted

Margaret was the formidable eldest daughter of Henry VII. She was crowned queen and wife of the Scottish king, James IV. The purpose of this marriage was to create peace between the two countries. She gave birth to the future king James V.
Peace was not to be and Margaret found herself torn between the two countries and their shifting alliances with France. Her husband was killed by the English at Flodden as a result of this conflict. She went on to marry two more times, mixing exile, coup d’etats, regencies, politics, intrigues and divorces into her nimble dance to survive.
Margaret’s legacy can be seen in the ascendancy of her great grandson James I who succeeded Elizabeth I, establishing the Stuart dynasty.

Hi, Interested in size of portrait and shipping date. Thanks, Marsha

    • trompehalf's avatar trompehalf says:

The original is 8 by 10”. You can have any size you want. Price and timing need the size before I can move forward

Hi Mark, The space I want to hang the portrait of Maragret Tudor is a panel that is 40″ wide x 52″ long. I want the portrait to be 20″ wide. What would you think the appropriate length should be?
        Thanks for you input. Marsha

Hi Mark, Not trying to be a pest but I sent you a message and I cannot find it in my Sent file.

I decided that I want the portrait to be 20” wide and wondering your thoughts on the length. Hanging in a panel that is 40” wide by 52” long. I am thinking possibly doing a 20” x 30”. Is that possible and what is the cost for that size? Thanks, Marsha

        Sent a message yesterday.

I’ll send this measurement to the guy who creates the lenticular so he can give me a quote.

Received an estimate for the lenticular you’d like. This process is not inexpensive. The “set up” is the biggest expense. All the machinery is designed for many multiples, so a single print is expensive. Btw, it’s not about the size, its about the set-up. Remember these machines produce lenticular postcards by the thousands.

The total comes to $3,000 plus shipping and any applicable sales tax.

Let me know how you’d like to proceed.

Thanks for the information. Yes, I would like to proceed but to make sure I understand the portrait print of Margaret Tudor has the lenticular flip on it so that it is changing back and forth from portrait to abstract all the time? I think I would want it to be 20″ wide by 35″ long. If I am correct please let me know how to proceed and the approximate delivery time. Thanks, Marsha

      • Marsha Beeson's avatar Marsha Beeson says:

Hi Mark, I was just wondering if you had time to find out exact cost for 20 X 35 Margaret Tudor portrait and approximate delivery time. Thank you, Marsha

      • trompehalf's avatar trompehalf says:

The original design is 8” wide by 10” long. If I blow the width up to 20” the makes the length 25”.

If you want it to be longer than 25” I will have to crop the image so severely that the composition will be highly compromised. I have attached an image of the design with an additional blank space to show how much would have to be added to achieve 35 Inches in length. I also stretched the image to 35”…Kinda distorted.

I will post a couple of short videos on my Facebook page so you can see how a lenticular works. Go to https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1367627482 Btw, I won’t be keeping this posting for a long time. Just enough time for you to see what a lenticular does.

Thanks for letting me see your facebook post. Please proceed with my request for portrait of Margaret Tudor 20″ x 30-35″. Thank you Marsha

      • trompehalf's avatar trompehalf says:

Did you see how your desired 30 to 35” length will distort the image’s composition? If you want the 20 inch width, the length/height will be 25 inches.

  3. Mar's avatar Mar says:

The length would be around 40″. I’m no mathematician! I’ll send the infor to the company that will create this.

  4. Marsha Beeson's avatar Marsha Beeson says:

Is the price $3000 plus shipping and something else I cannot determine?

  5. Marsha Beeson's avatar Marsha Beeson says:
