Prix de Rome

Prix de Rome

A small poured resin piece that is a tribute to the struggles of artists through time. The small figure is Jacques-Louis David, a product of the Enlightenment and a winner of the prestigious Prix de Rome.  Difficult and volatile, David rode the crashing waves of his time brandishing his art as a weapon and a shield.

About trompehalf
